Anita and her friend Two young ladies who were filmed joking around inside a seemingly shallow river have reportedly drowned.A viral video shows one of the two girls playfully calling on the other who was standing on the bank of the river to come into the river.She can be heard saying, “I go go viral. We go go viral. I go put am for TikTok’.She then proceeded to beckon to Anita, her friend: “My daughter, come, come” as she and someone behind the camera laughed.Anita who was on the bank of the river joined her friend and they were playing around in the river.The one in the river can be heard jokingly shouting, “Come let me initiate you” and then proceeded to invoke a marine spirit.“Mammy Water! Mammy Water!’ she shouted as the two girls giggled.
Anita in blue shorts joined her friend in the river.
The part where they drowned was not filmed.
But it was gathered that the two girls fell into a part of the river that had been dredged deep by sand suppliers and the two of them drowned before help could be found.
The body of Anita was recovered immediately, but the body of the one invoking Mammy Water’ had not been found at the time of filing this report.
